The light fell in patterns on your skin,
dancing on you, delighting in you,
in your sanctuary of a tree guarded grove
where I found you, too.
The soles of your feet kissed the dirt,
minding the twigs and missing every trap,
all the biting brambles and twisted old roots,
that were sent to distract you.
You pointed at the leaves, as I grumbled
that the rain ran down them to muddy our haven.
Branches wove together above us, and shook together
in any breeze, a parallel I drew to describe us.
You pulled me into your arms, into
your bed and heart and world,
everything smelled and sang of you,
every moment was a piece of you.
We lingered in our love, fearful
that if we were to rush, to seize it all at once
we’d watch it die so quickly,
leaving love-born scratches in the dust.
When our woods gave way to fields and houses
you soothed my fears, and led me away
to nameless graves and lover’s tombs
each sealed within a page.
Words hid, like we did, all hidden and daring-
we tucked ourselves into a cocoon of long grass
and whispered notions, while bathing in the fantasy
that we would remain undiscovered.
We hid in the sun; persevering against time.
Every loving, licking beam that found us
carried a fragment of poorly drawn dreams,
and every light-fueled phantoms,
every mote of dust, knew us by name.
Reality blended with our woods and streams,
with our bodies together, our fingers twined
until we recalled our divide;
but there is only an ocean between us,
and our nightmares will be quiet with time.

The New Snow Princess
It was a calm peaceful night, full of quiet as there was no noise of cars driving around or of people. The night sky was shown dotted with stars filling the sky with spots of light. Lying on the bed, was a teenaged girl. She laid there only wearing a pair of blue pajamas on her figure. She was a cute person as she laid on her side, her head resting on the pillow. Soft breaths escaped her as she was sound asleep. The girl had short blue hair that matched her eyes as she slept. Ami Mizuno continued to sleep as she was taking a well deserved rest from her latest venture. She and The other Sailor Scouts had just combated and fought against an ancient Ice Monster known as The Snow Princess Kaguya. Having come to Earth to turn it into an Arctic Wasteland. Luckily with all nine of them using their combined powers, they had managed to destroy her army and then herself and save the Planet once again. After such a daunting experience, she was taking a well deserved sleep in doing so. As

Harmful Opinion
"I don't believe in things I can't see" "They're simply too weak to handle the real world" "It's just sadness; nothing serious" Mindsets that idiots carry, thinking they're geniuses For denying the existence of depression Others push them away, not because they want to Avoid being infected, but because they're under the Belief that they need a degree before even attempting To show kindness; tell them that they're worthy of life You don't have to be a superhero You just need to give compassion For some, that's enough; for some, it's not But treating them as if they're a burden only Worsens their struggle We all have problems We all need at least one other person there to Lessen the severity, with advice or companionship Let's do away with this line in the sand It's such a destructive divide

The Loss of Humanity (Poem)
The Loss of Humanity By J.C. Solis We are the ones who sold our own souls To live out our lives as not being whole For pittance and vice, we gave it away And our own conscience we’d come to betray And upon our hearts, this deed takes its toll We are the foolish who took on this fate With a hunger that just won’t ever sate And with this pain, we carry forth our cross As we come to bear this terrible loss And to make amends just came far too late We are the lost who’ll never be found For our bad mistakes are always abound And though some of us now want to break free Our sins blind our eyes till We cannot see The errors we made keep coming around And while we’re forced to get down on our knees We cry for we lost Our Humanity Our peace of mind no longer remains sound And as we shoulder the size of this weight Our hearts so heavy that just won’t placate The angels above look down at our lies As demons now welcome our own demise This is our loss, one filled with so much hate And as

Poo. I tried to write a funny, light poem, and I didn't get that. Oh well, I'll try again.

It's funny how things can turn out so differently to how we initially started them!
This is a lovely poem though, and the first line really caught my attention – it immediately made me think of dappled sunlight, of light hitting a person's skin in patches due to tree leaves.
